Pol Roger is perhaps best known as Winston Churchill's favourite tipple, with the house still owned and run by the same family to date. Throughout its existence the brand has developed an enviable reputation for producing Champagnes of finesse and elegance which often age very well in the cellar. The 2013 vintage Brut is a wonderful yet classic example made up of a robust 60% Pinot Noir and 40% of Chardonnay, sourced from a complex patchwork of 20 sites in the Montagne de Reims and the Côte des Blancs, all of them rated as either Grand or 1er Cru.
