Faiveley is at the very top of its game at the moment. Erwan and Eve have steered this venerable house to a more approachable style of wines, without sacrificing longevity. This wine is always an excellent performer, made from only the best fruit of their 10 hectares of 50- to 75-year-old vines. There’s a wonderful purity of red cherry and strawberry fruit here, framed by creamy, melting tannins and a subtle touch of oak spice. A charming and seductive, perfumed Gevrey.
