2014 is a very good vintage, which I enjoy for its classicism, elegance and poise. Following a somewhat rainy summer, there were six weeks of uninterrupted sunshine from the last week of August in to October, which not only saved the vintage, but brought ripeness and marvellous quality to the fruit, while the earlier rains had replenished the water tables which had suffered drought conditions in the previous three vintages.
